Dental implants replace both your tooth and your tooth root.

First, a titanium “root” is surgically implanted into your jawbone. As it heals, the bone and gum will attach to the root, securing it in place.

When healed, an abutment is placed on the root. This abutment will hold the replacement tooth in place.

Porcelain replacement teeth are then custom-created to fit on top of the abutments. These teeth are crafted to blend naturally in your smile. When the teeth are made, Dr. Canady will permanently seat them on the abutments. Your new teeth will look, feel and function just like your natural teeth! There’s no worries about them slipping when you eat or speak; they are secure and will not move. There’s no hassle of removing them at night and soaking them. You just brush and floss!
