Tulsa Tooth Replacement
For One or Several Teeth

We know that losing a tooth to damage, trauma or decay is never a good thing, but in some cases it just can’t be avoided. Most people worry about how a missing tooth will affect their appearance, but don’t realize that a missing tooth can impact their health too.
When a tooth is lost and isn’t replaced, it leaves an empty space in the mouth. This empty space allows other healthy teeth to shift position. When that occurs, your bite is completely thrown off balance, affecting the way you bite and chew, and even causing TMJ symptoms like headaches, face and jaw pain, sore neck and back and more.
Dental bridges are the easy, efficient and affordable solution. A dental bridge is a permanent appliance that is placed in your mouth to fill the space left by a missing tooth (or teeth). It is held in place by two crowns, each placed on the healthy tooth next to the empty space. These are called abutments. In between the two crowns is a porcelain tooth (or teeth) that span the empty area, replacing the missing tooth (or teeth), hence the term “bridge.”
Once placed, the bridge is permanent. No special treatment is required. You just brush and floss like you would your natural teeth. Dental bridges can last a lifetime if taken care of properly. Regular dental checkups will allow Dr. Canady to keep an eye on your bridge to make sure it’s secure.
